Hey, I found this in one of the wiccan communities I belong to, and I wanted to spread the word. Since everyone else has been asked to spread the word too, I'm sorry if this is cross-posted. Spread the word wherever you can, too!
All followers of Earth religions, Wicca, Shamanism, Druidry etc etc, are being encouraged to wear a purple ribbon as a way of promoting religious tolerance and to potentially raise awareness: On Sept. 21st to 22nd all witches are going to wear little purple ribbons so everyone will know who else is a witch/wiccan/pagan/.... But no one can do this if they don't know about it, so pass the word along! This message goes to all witches, wiccans, pagans form all sorts of traditions. We can make a day for ourselves!! Actually, two days!!! You can buy a purple ribbon anywhere, dollar store, wal-mart, shoppers drug mart, anywhere...Wear it in your hair, or pin it up to your shirt. Make it public!!!
The Purple Ribbon Campaign was created in 1997 by Fellowship of the Earth to show solidarity of kindred
spirits. "Fight the Fear" is the slogan chosen to represent the Purple Ribbons.
CUUPS also promotes this Campaign.

To be a pagan, do you have to believe in the Gods (Goddesses) that they are actually real spirits, like I used to believe in God when I was a Christian? Or can you believe that they represent an archetype or the power of collective consciousness? I believe that the Earth is alive, that it has a sprit, this is one of the things I believe is part of the Goddess. I am confused to what created the world (thru evolution or whatever) and don't know what or who deity is. I do know that we are all divine.
So how should/do pagans/Wiccans view deity?
I know I am not explaining myself very well, but It's a confusing topic.
How often do you meditate?
Couple times a week or more
Never or very rarely
If never or rarely, why?
I have trouble relaxing so I don't meditate often
I don't want to meditate
I want to meditate, but I feel blocked from it
I don't have free or alone time
Other, and please comment even if you didn't choose other!
have trouble meditating, so I wondered what others experiences were. Fill out the poll and if you like tell me about your experiences and feelings about meditation. I have seem to get bored, or bothered by meditation, and feel disinclined to do it even though I know it is good for me and will help me to calm and center. Maybe visualization style meditation is the answer? Or maybe I should seek out a meditation teacher? Any advice would be helpful, but I'm also interested in what the poll will say from a sociological standpoint. Thanks!
What is your favorite divination tool??
I rather enjoy the Wicca Pack, but I also have Goddess runes, the Osho Zen deck, the Goddess tarot and the Spirit of Herbs deck.
I also wondered if anyone has any experiences with the Fairy Pack, Healing with Fairies oracles cards, the Triple Goddess Tarot or the Celtic Wisdom Tarot????
Another question: What are your personal experiences with the God/Goddess or specific Gods/Goddesses????
Merry meet, all. n_n
As a newbie, I shall ask a question.
Is it wrong for a Pagan to be under the influence, or even use dark/black magick?
I've always wondered this, since many Wiccans and such use the dark arts and voodoo a lot.
If you had to define the single biggest threat or impediment to your spiritual life, what would you say?
First lesson of the goddess...
All life is sacred.
There is only one race...the human race.
I believe that no matter what religious affiliation you align yourself with, there is still a little goddess within. Let us find and strengthen that goddess.
